This is both an excellent and affordable kit for vacuum filtration.
A specialized funnel with a flat, perforated bottom (known as a Buchner Funnel) is used with a Vacuum Filtering Flask and Vacuum Pump. Suction from the pump forces the liquid to be filtered through the filter paper. This dramatically speeds up filtration of solutions that can take hours to filter on their own.
Included in the kit is: 
one 500 ml Filtering Flask, one 90 mm porcelain Buchner Funnel, 100 sheets of 90 mm Filter Paper, one specialized Rubber Stopper (to accept the large Buchner Funnel neck), and a lab-quality hand operated Vacuum Pump with gauge. The kit comes packed in a box for easy storage.

Perfectly smooth pure amber latex rubber tubing for use in any laboratory or hobby application and also approved for use with pharmaceuticals, blood and intravenous solutions.
 Seamless, sterilizable, lumen free of striations for clear passage of liquids and gases. Tubing is extensively leached, washed and surface treated to virtually undetectable protein levels, which are 99.9% protein-free. Meets Federal Specifications ZZ-T831c.
Available in 3/16" ID and 1/4" ID, both with a 1/16" thick wall.

Acid or Alkali?
PH Test Paper is one of the most useful tools in a laboratory. This is wide range PH Test Paper (PH 1 - 14), ideal for just about any use from testing the acidity of soil to general chemistry uses.
Simply dip the paper strip in the solution to be tested and in seconds the paper will change color. Hold the strip up to the color chart on the vial and you'll instantly know the PH of the solution. PH paper is preferred by many chemists over expensive electronic PH meters that require frequent calibration and electrode replacement.

Although most laboratory glassware is Pyrex, Bomex or similar heat resistant glass, none of them should ever be in direct contact with a flame. The only exception is a Test Tube and even that should be kept moving in & out of the flame. The proper way to heat materials in laboratory glassware (when using an open flame) is to place a Ceramic Center Wire Gauze between the flame and glassware.
Ours is an extra stout wire gauze with a fireproof ceramic center. The sides are turned in so no sharp edges protrude.
Recommended for all glassware.

The classic Bell and Vacuum experiment.
Used to demonstrate the principle that sound does not travel in a vacuum.
The bell is self contained and battery powered so it requires no external power. Comes complete with battery powered Bell, heavy glass Bell Jar, Vacuum Pump Plate and Vacuum Hose. Assembled unit is 8.5" diameter x 11.5" high. The Bell and circuit board inside are removable so the Jar and Vacuum Plate can be used for a variety of other vacuum experiments.

We only recently started stocking these Butane Micro Burners and quite frankly, they are awesome.
Easily portable throughout the entire lab and no need to run gas lines. The Micro Burner is completely self-contained and has its own refillable Butane tank.
Fully adjustable flame control from 0 to 100% simply by rotating the knob as shown above. No matches or igniters required.... the convenient piezoelectric push button on the handle produces a high voltage spark which ignites the burner instantly. Large diameter base offers excellent stability and tip resistance.
Burns about 1.5 hours per fill. Height: 3.35". Produces a flame temperature over 2,500°F.
Excellent for all lab work including bending, shaping & melting standard flint glass tubing. 
Please note that due to shipping regulations, the burner must be shipped empty. You must fill the unit with standard butane lighter fuel (available at any grocery store for about $1.00 to $3.00) before use.

Butane Micro Burner: $39.00 

A versatile Alcohol Lamp/Burner for Lab use where a low temperature flame is desired. Unique hexagonal shape permits the burner to be used standing upright, or tilted to various angles for applying heat in tight spots. Thick glass construction complete with wick & metal cap. Uses Denatured Alcohol for fuel, available at any hardware store, Home Depot, etc. (BTW, for those very observant types, no, the flame above is not an alcohol flame. We put Kerosene in the lamp to make flame bright & yellow so it would show up in the web page image. Give yourself a big pat on the back if you noticed the flame color / brightness was incorrect for an Alcohol lamp.) 

If you've ever tried to drill a hole in a Cork or Rubber Stopper, you know it just doesn't work. The only way to cut a clean hole in a Stopper is with a Boring Machine.  Adjustable 'V' stop holds the Stopper securely in place during cutting. This is a professional, high quality, heavy cast steel precision boring machine (it weighs about 15 pounds). Machine comes complete with 12 different sized boring bits (4.25 mm to 18.5 mm O.D. ) that quickly slice into any size Cork or Rubber Stopper. It will also slice perfect holes in thick leather sheet or similar materials.
Far superior to any other boring or punching device you'll find.
The unit can be bolted to your workbench or used as-is.

Our Corks are manufactured from 100% natural Cork harvested in Portugal.
The quality of Corks is measured by the lenticels (small crevices that occur in all natural cork).
The fewer the lenticels, the higher the grade of Cork. Both grades of Cork will seal dry goods and solids (sand or salt, for example) in a container. If sealing liquids where more secure seal is important, we recommend only using XXXX Premium Grade Corks.
Premium Grade XXXX Corks are more expensive, but they are far superior to Standard Corks
in mechanical strength, seal, and appearance.
Please Note: Cork sizes & Rubber Stopper sizes are NOT the same.
( for instance, a # 4 Rubber Stopper and # 10 Cork are about the same dimensions )
