When will I receive my order?
Please keep in
mind that ordering from United Nuclear Scientific Supplies is not like shopping
at K-Mart.
Many of our products are manufactured by us, by our own craftsman.
Many are
one-of-a-kind or are very difficult to obtain - and may take months to get only
small quantities of.
Our chemical packaging is not automated, and also done by individually, by hand.
We do not maintain a large stock of our items - many of our larger or more
complex items are fabricated to
order.
Generally, small orders are processed fairly quickly and are shipped out within a
few days. However, we are often quite busy and during these times orders can take 2 weeks
or more to process.
As a general rule of thumb, wait at least 14 business days before inquiring
about an order (keep in mind we're closed Friday, Saturday & Sunday).
During busy
times of the year (before & after Christmas, etc) order processing can take considerably longer than 2 weeks.
We try to fill orders as quickly and accurately as possible.
Remember, our products take time to assemble, time to weigh & measure, time to
package.
We will not sacrifice product quality for faster turn-around time.
If you're the
impatient type, or are on a tight time schedule, please... shop elsewhere.
We fill all orders on a first-come,
first-served basis and cannot push back someone's order to accommodate yours.
We get a large number of packages returned to us with wrong addresses. Make
sure you have supplied us with your correct shipping address.
If your package is returned because you gave us the wrong address, you will have
to pay for shipping again to be sent to another address.
We get charged for every time we ship a package, and so will you.
A large number of emails we respond to are bounced back by servers (like AOL).
If there is a problem with your order and you did not supply us with a phone
number (and we have been unable to contact you via email) your order may sit
here in limbo forever.
We have some packages that have been here for over a year
because the customer gave us no way to contact them.
To avoid possible delays, please give us a phone number so we can contact you
if necessary. We will not give your phone number to anyone.
Is all this weird stuff you sell
legal to buy and own?
Yes, nothing we sell requires a license, and
everything we sell is legal to purchase in the USA.
We carry a wide range of unusual & difficult to find scientific items. Please note that
many of the products we sell are quire rare, and obtainable in very limited
quantities. Many of these rare items are very popular, sell out quickly, and may
not be available again for quite some time.
It is for this reason that we ship all orders on a first-come, first-served
basis. As the saying goes: 'The early bird catches the worm'.
Because our stock turns over so quickly, we may have dozens of a single item at
the beginning of the day, and suddenly be out of stock before the day ends. We
try to update our website as often as possible to reflect our current stock.
To prevent children from obtaining potentially
dangerous materials, all orders containing chemicals must be signed for upon
delivery by an adult (21 or over).
Packages that are returned to us will be subjected to a 25% restock fee.

Privacy - Do you sell, or
give out my personal and/or order information?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. We do not even
archive your personal, or order information for our own uses. We will not
give out any information on anyone for any reason. -
PERIOD.
Chemical suppliers routinely forward customers names, along with their
purchases to Government officials / Homeland Security
officials, etc. WE DO NOT - AND NEVER WILL.
We respect your privacy and will fight for it.
For additional security, we use the PayPal payment processing service for Credit
Card purchases. Processing your payment in this way means we never see your
Credit Card number or any information associated with your payment.
Do you have a retail store I can visit, or
pick up my order?
At the present time, we do not operate
a
typical retail store
location.
In addition to scientific sales, we also do confidential consulting, prototype,
and contract work for other companies, and the U.S. Government.
For this reason we cannot allow the general public on the premises.
Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Sorry, we do not. We've spent far too
much time and money chasing down late payments from Schools, Government
institutions and various Corporations. All orders must be paid for in advance
before we will ship your package.
Do you wholesale?
We are a retailer only. We
manufacture many of our products ourselves - and as we are primarily a research
& development company, we do not have the manpower or machinery specifically
dedicated for large volume production. Sorry, we do not offer quantity discounts,
or sell items in bulk.
How do I order?
Simply click on the add to cart
buttons next to each item you wish to purchase. A window will pop up - simply
follow the instructions for on-line ordering.

Why do we use PayPal?
PayPal is the most secure, and widely used Credit
Card payment system on the internet.
In our 8 years of business and over 100,000 orders filled, we have never had a
single problem with it.
ALL Credit Card orders must use the PayPal secure ordering

Processing Credit Card payments in this way guarantees your purchase and helps to prevent credit card fraud.
We never even see your Credit Card number or any information associated with
your card.
Where do you ship?
We will ship anywhere within the continental United
States. For additional fees, we will also ship to Alaska &
Hawaii.
We do not accept orders outside the United States.
Why no international
orders?
It is expensive and difficult to track
international packages. Lost or damaged items that we've shipped internationally
in the past have taken us close to 2 years to get reimbursed for shipping
damages. In addition, import Customs in other countries have a bad habit of confiscating many of our
products like radioactive ore samples, chemicals, and even ordinary items at times. People generally aren't very happy when they've paid money for
something and never receive it, or their money back.
So, in short... we do not process orders outside the USA.
How do I get in contact with you
guys?
Email is generally the best way to contact us.
Due to a limited staff, we can only man the phone lines on Monday - Thursday,
10am to 5pm Mountain Time.
Our retail sales office is closed Friday, Saturday &
Sunday.

How do I get a catalog?
Sorry, catalogs are not yet
available, although we are planning a printed catalog in the future.
Please note that our stock changes very rapidly. The most up-to-date information
on the items we have for sale will always be on our website.
When published, our catalog will only contain our most popular and regularly
stocked items.
For the best selection, please shop directly from our website.
