Uranium Ore
Fluorescent Samples

These Uranium ore samples glow bright green under ultraviolet light (i.e. UV, or blacklight) where Metatorbernite crystals have formed on the surface.
Brilliant color & stunning, these are perfect for any collector.

Metatorbernite/Autunite
Metatorbernite is a variation of the Uranium ore Torbernite (Copper Uranium Phosphate).
Metatorbernite occurs as flat, transparent green crystals that is over 60% Uranium Oxide, making it a very high grade ore. Autunite is also found in these samples mixed with Metatorbernite.
Unlike most other Uranium ores, both Metatorbernite & Autunite glow bright green under UV (black light). They are so strongly fluorescent, that the crystals seem to glow even in shaded sunlight.

Typical samples viewed in daylight.

The same samples viewed under UV light ( blacklight ).

These fluorescent Uranium ore samples all measure about 1" across and all glow equally
brilliant under UV light. They all emit low levels of radiation (1,000 cpm to 3,000 cpm).
(All samples look similar to the ones pictured above).
