. Basic Nuclear Lab Set

The Basic Nuclear Lab Set is a complete student station designed for high school and college level nuclear science instruction. The system may be used with or without a computer and consists of a lab station with built-in Geiger-Mueller counter, scaler with preset time, large 6-decade LED display, sample positioning tray and 11- piece radiation absorber set. The system features a variable high voltage power supply for plateau measurements, serial interface and cable with DATALINK software for data transfer to
PC. System includes alpha, beta and gamma radioisotope sources & experiment manuals.
Data files are stored in spreadsheet compatible format for graphing and manipulation prior to printing.

Intermediate Nuclear Lab Set

Our Intermediate Nuclear Lab Set is powered by rechargeable batteries and may be use either as a portable surveyor or as a lab station. This analog ratemeter system  is equipped with a detachable GM probe and stand, 20 piece absorber set, alpha, beta and gamma radioisotope sources, manuals, serial cable and software for connecting to a PC. The system may be used as a stand-alone station or with a computer. The emulation software transfers data from the instrument and allows the system to be used as a simple scaler/timer for more accurate measurements. The ratemeter and scaler functions are displayed on the monitor making the system ideal for classroom and group demonstrations.
Files are saved in spreadsheet compatible format for graphing manipulation and printing.

Deluxe Nuclear Lab Set

The Deluxe Nuclear Lab Set is built around the new UN360 Radiation Counter and provides the ultimate in nuclear lab systems for studying the characteristics of radiation and conducting a wide variety of nuclear experiments. Features include preset time and preset count modes, a digital ratemeter with audible alarm point and digitally controlled high voltage. The system includes a large volume Geiger-Mueller detector for improved efficiency, a 10-position sample stand, USB and serial interface to PC, software for full computer and data transfer, five radioisotope sources, 20-piece calibrated absorber set, lab manuals on CD, and all necessary cables. Operation may be as a stand-alone station or directly from the computer. Data files are saved in spreadsheet compatible format for importing in most common spreadsheets allowing the operator to perform calculations and graph the results for printing. Software is compatible with Windows 95 and higher. The UN360 is equipped with upgraded high voltage and an internal preamplier allowing operation with optional NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors for gross gamma counting.
