Details
General Information
Orders are filled and shipped on a first-come, first served basis and we can only pack & ship so many orders per day.
If we receive a large number of orders before your payment gets here, those
orders will ship before yours does.
If we run out of an item while filling your order, we will typically delay
shipment to you until our re-supply arrives.
Orders are generally processed in 3 to 14 days,
however,
If we are very busy (mainly before & after Christmas),
orders can take well over 2 weeks just to process. Keep this in mind
if you are on a tight time schedule.
This is
particularly prevalent during Science Fair Season, or other
busy times of the year
such as holidays (prior to Christmas, prior to 4th of July), etc.
We do not sell anything illegal. Everything we offer for sale is legal to
purchase & own in the United States.
We do not sell explosives. This includes Black Powder and Flash
Powder.
We do not supply materials, or furnish knowledge to make explosives.
Because our
products can be potentially hazardous in the wrong hands, we will occasionally
terminate
& refund orders if we feel you are juvenile posing as an adult,
inexperienced with the materials ordered,
or using our products to make any sort
of explosive device.
All packages containing
hazardous chemicals will require an adult
signature on delivery.
PLEASE include a phone number
in case we need to
get a hold of you.
We've had many times where we couldn't read a shipping address, or couldn't figure out what
was being ordered, etc., etc... and we were unable to contact the customer via
email.
If you leave us with no way to contact you and there is a problem with your
order,
your package will remain here indefinitely until you contact us.
We won't give out your email address, phone number, or any other information
to anyone... and we'll only call you if there is a problem with your order.
Payment Options
Currently, acceptable forms of payment are: Credit Cards (through PayPal), Personal or
Business
Checks, Money Orders, and Cashier's Checks.
( Personal & Business Checks are held for 10 days until they clear the bank. )
Please make all
Checks & Money Orders payable to "United Nuclear".
All orders ship out on a first-come, first serve basis.
Sorry, we do
not accept purchase orders. We've spent far too much time and
money chasing down late payments
from Schools, Government institutions and
various Corporations.
All orders must be paid for in advance before we will ship
your package.

Order Inquiry / Order Changes
If more than 14 business days has gone by since we received your payment, and you
haven't received your order, we'll certainly check on it for you.
However, if you placed your order weeks before or after Christmas (our busiest
time
of the year) order processing can take well over 2 weeks.
To check on an
order or if you'd like to make changes to it (add or remove items, cancel, etc), you must email us with
the name and address the package was going to,
your email address,
phone number, the date the order was
placed (very
important), and last of all, what is was that you ordered.
We don't use PayPal transaction numbers
- please don't email them to us
All orders are cataloged by the
person's name and date of order.
Please don't send
us an email like:
"This is Ron, I placed an order and I didn't get it yet, so let me know
where it is"...
If you send us an email like that, please don't expect a reply.

Shipping
& Liability
We package & ship
all of our products in accordance with U.S. postal regulations.
All packages are shipped via UPS or Priority Mail at our discretion
- however we generally follow these guidelines:
Packages under 2 pounds ship via Priority Mail.
Packages over 2 pounds ship via UPS.
Chemicals or flammable items cannot ship via Priority Mail and are shipped ground via UPS.
All packages containing hazardous
chemicals
will require an adult signature
on delivery.
Our large, very high power magnets must also ship by ground because they
interfere with aircraft navigation.
If you provided us with a valid email address, you will automatically be
sent a Delivery Confirmation or
Tracking Number for your package when your
shipping label is printed. This will be sent to you directly from the
shipping
company used (UPS or USPS).
United Nuclear does not insure your package against damage or loss.
If your package is damaged, lost, stolen, etc., please contact the appropriate
shipping company.
Under no circumstances will we be
liable for any damages or losses incurred during shipping.
Our liability ends the moment the package is picked up by the carrier (either
UPS or USPS).
If you would like to purchase insurance for your package, please contact
us for a price quote.
Please check your package contents when it arrives!
If you discover an item missing in your package, you must notify us within 3
business days of delivery.
Claims for missing items
after 3 business days will not be honored. See the 'Defective / Missing Items'
section below.

Returns
Please pay
close attention
to what you are buying.
If you change you mind about an item you've purchased , we will
gladly exchange it for another
item of equal value, minus
your
shipping charges.
Shipping charges on exchanges are never refundable.
If you are planning to return an item, please contact us via phone or email for
an RMA number.
All returns must be
accompanied by a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
Chemicals can
never be returned or
exchanged - make sure you are purchasing the proper chemicals for
your application. If you have any doubts, please contact us.
We do not offer cash refunds -
items returned may only be exchanged for other products, or store credit.
Any exchanges must be made within 7 days of receipt and require prior authorization via email or phone.

Defective / Missing
Items
We all hate buying something new
and receiving it broken of defective.
To prevent this, all mechanical & electrical items are thoroughly tested
before shipping, and we package items as securely as possible.
If in the event a defective item did slip by our quality
control, we will repair or replace it for free, and ship it to you at our
expense.
Please test your new items upon arrival.
If you've found a defective item within 10 business days from the date of
delivery, it will immediately be replaced or repaired,
and shipped at our expense back to you via standard USPS Priority Mail or ground
UPS (depending on package weight).
Although very rare, if you did receive a defective item, please call or email us
for an RMA number.
You will then have to ship the defective item back to us via standard USPS
Priority Mail or ground UPS.
We will reimburse your shipping fees when we send you your replacement or
repaired item back to you.
If you discover a missing item, you must report it to us within 3
business days of delivery.
All boxes are recorded on videodisc via overhead cameras while they are being
packed.
This allows us to monitor how orders are being packaged by our workers,
maintains quality control, and conveniently allows us to go
back and see if the
person filling the order left an item out.
These video recordings are only kept on file for a short time and then recorded
over with new orders... so please check and see that
your order is complete.
You have 3 days from the date your package is delivered to file a missing item
claim. After this time, claims
for missing items will cannot be honored. No
exceptions.
