Our new UNDX-1
Pocket Geiger Counter is an impressive performer. It is ideal for
everything from checking scrap metal for radiation contamination to
lab & industrial uses - as well as for Uranium prospecting.
The UNDX-1 instantly indicates levels of Beta, Gamma, and X-Ray
radiation by a series of audible 'clicks' (and 'beeps at higher
levels) from an internal speaker and by the compressed-scale meter.
At low & background levels of radiation, the unit emits an
audible 'click' for each particle or ray detected up to about 10
mR/hr. If the radiation levels rise above 10 mR/hr, the unit will begin to
'beep' with increasing frequency as the radiation level increases, becoming a continuous tone above 20 mR/hr.
The pocket
size makes it very convenient for industrial, covert &
general use. Typically Geiger Counters have a separate probe
requiring 2 hands to operate the unit. The all-in-one design of the
UNDX-1 allows you to operate it with one hand leaving the other
free. You'll be surprised at what you find radioactive around you. Bring
the unit into an antique shop and find a wealth of

& saucers.
Simple to
operate, the only control is a single button used to activate the
unit.
Dual scale analog meter displays radiation levels in mR/hr as well as
the international uSv/hr.
An LED indicator alerts you of battery condition upon each use.
The UNDX-1features an industry standard Halogen-quenched Geiger-Mueller
tube with 3mm window.
Applications for the units are many and may include checking for
environmental contamination, industrial, clinical, field, school
classroom, home use, or wherever radioactive materials are present.
